For the contemplatively inclined, St. Anselm of Canterbury coined a poignant motto in “Fides Quaerens Intellectum.” “Faith Seeking Understanding.”
If faith seeks understanding, the project of Weaker Brother might be said to be principally concerned with the “seeking” part.
With an ironic twist, the Apostle Paul once famously implied that the spiritually mature would know that they don’t yet know. Instead, he submitted that being known should supplant having knowledge as the desired good. And that’s when something incredible could happen: by surrendering desire for a mastering knowledge to a sacrificial love—namely, love for God—one would arrive at the greatest possible understanding: to comprehend that they are known by God.

You and your convictions are welcome contemplators in the externalized conversation of Weaker Brother. If Weaker Brother strikes a tone between the worldliness of Ecclesiastes and the passion of the Prophets, the project will have more than succeeded.
…A Stronger Brother might think I’m taking myself too seriously, but that’s OK. = )
